Community
Laytonville (and nearby Leggett) are secret jewels hidden in the northernmost regions of Mendocino County. These small communities draw visitors from all over the state (and beyond) to enjoy their music festivals and see the splendor of the Randjung Yeshe Gomde Buddhist Monastery (gomdeusa.org).
The first festival of the season kicks off at Black Oak Ranch in June: Enchanted Forest (http://enchantedforestmendo.com/). The Kate Wolf Festival (http://katewolfmusicfestival.com/) is at the end of the month. And every Second Friday, the community hosts a fun gathering with food, live music, and art.
